I just saw a keynote by Thomas Malone from MIT. He's been doing a lot of interesting work having to do with patterns for group decision making (made possible through tools on the internet), so called "crowd sourcing." http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/19/technology/internet/19unboxed.html?_r=2&ref=business

His patterns were much more conceptual while this is more of a technique for application but I think the two ideas seem to support one another. Very cool.

Sure I would love to contribute. Under which chapter (section in the Wiki) would this pattern be most relevant? I'm not sure if the 'Activities' chapter is related to encouraging contribution from users.

This is great! The first pattern might relate to some of the presence patterns (the Keep Company, Who's Here Now? kind of stuff). You can find a lot more patterns that haven't made it into the Yahoo! library yet at http://designingsocialinterfaces.com/patterns.wiki

Would you be interested in contributing these drafts to the wiki by any chance?

proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
tmpfs on /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/volatile type tmpfs (rw,mode=0755)
tmpfs on /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-generic/volatile type tmpfs (rw,mode=0755)
varrun on /var/run type tmpfs (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,mode=0755)
varlock on /var/lock type tmpfs (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,mode=1777)
udev on /dev type tmpfs (rw,mode=0755)
devshm on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
tmpfs on /tmp type tmpfs (rw,nosuid, nodev)
